Thoughtful Classroom Principal Effectiveness Framework Now Available for SuperEval Users

January 21st, 2020

Rubric conceptSuperEval, in partnership with Silver Strong & Associates, is pleased to announce the addition of the Thoughtful Classroom Principal Effectiveness Framework to its online evaluation system. Now, education leaders have access to another high-quality evaluation rubric to evaluate building-level principals that is approved for the Annual Professional Performance Review (APPR) by the New York State Department of Education.

SuperEval is the only online evaluation system for school leaders and focuses on strengthening teams through self-reflection, deeper conversations, and continuous growth.

“We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with Silver Strong & Associates!” said Michael Horning, Jr., Executive Vice President of SuperEval. “Adding another high-quality evaluation rubric allows for more principals to participate in our unique SuperEval evaluation process. This process allows a principal to self-assess through engaging in reflective leadership practices while assembling an evidence portfolio. This transcends evaluation from an act of compliance to leadership development and professional growth.”

SuperEval offers a menu of standardized rubrics for school boards, superintendents, principals and assistant principals, central office administrators, building level administrators, school business officials, and support staff.

Dr. Harvey Silver, cofounder and president of Silver Strong & Associates, said, “We learned about SuperEval through our PD partnerships with schools across the country. So many school leaders were telling us about the power and simplicity of SuperEval. When we looked at SuperEval more closely, we recognized that it would be an ideal tool for making our Thoughtful Classroom Principal Effectiveness Framework come to life in schools. We are excited to be able to offer this high-impact evaluation and growth tool to our school partners.”

The Thoughtful Classroom Principal Effectiveness Framework is currently available to use in SuperEval for school leaders in all 50 states.
