Distance Learning Resources for Parents

Steve BarkleyFree Podcast Series: Parent Well-Being and Student Learning During School Closures

In response to school closings across the U.S. and internationally, our partner Steve Barkley has recently launched a new podcast series entitled Parent Well-Being and Student Learning During School Closures. For over thirty years, Steve Barkley has served as an educational consultant to school districts, teacher organizations, state departments of education, and colleges and universities nationally and internationally, facilitating the changes necessary for them to reach students and successfully prepare them for the 21st century.

In response to the new podcasts, one listener writes:

“Though I’m an experienced teacher and education consultant myself who follows and shares research, I picked up a lot of practical tips as a parent. I like how the podcast is personalized with your own examples, and connects with parents by inviting them to reflect on their own learning so that they can advise and empathize with the child… Thanks again for this helpful share out. Has real utility value.”
