SuperEval Announces APPR Updates for Principals

Recently, New York State announced an update to the Annual Professional Performance Review (APPR) process. Traditionally, the APPR process requires a Student Performance Category and is based on student assessment data. This value, which is a numerical value between 0-20, is combined with other data to generate an APPR score. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the difficultly it has caused in administrating student assessments, NYS has given principals the option to waive student evaluations for the 2020-2021 school year. In an effort to accommodate the APPR waiver, SuperEval has created a custom feature that allows evaluators to opt-out of entering a score for student performance while still allowing them to complete the evaluation process, as seen below.
