NYSSBA and SuperEval are excited to announce the Superintendent Evaluation Workshop schedule for March 2019. The workshops are especially for board members and superintendents.
Workshop Dates & Locations:
March 7th – Long Island
March 14th – White Plains
March 15th – Latham
March 22nd – Rochester
All workshops will run from 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Developing and Supporting an Effective Superintendent
The evaluation of the superintendent is a vital responsibility of a board member. Hear what compels and requires us to execute quality evaluations, plus what the research says about fostering positive relations with your superintendent. Learn how an effective evaluation can support the leadership and impact positive change within your school district.
Establishing an Evaluation Process That is Fair, Reliable and Evidence-Based
Your evaluation must incorporate measurable goals and standards, evaluation rubrics, and supporting evidence. Learn how to establish goals that are SMART: specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and timely. Learn about the purpose and use of an evaluation rubric and learn to identify clear, unbiased supporting evidence.
Explore the Tools Available to Help You Conduct Your Evaluation
NYSSBA’s evaluation rubric for school boards and superintendents are now available online through SuperEval. We’ll show you how to use the new online leadership evaluation tool. You’ll also explore how the tool can help you strengthen your leadership team, create a goal-aligned district and deepen conversation.
