The SuperEval Team is pleased to announce three new educational leadership evaluation frameworks from McREL International are now available in SuperEval. These frameworks are part of McREL’s comprehensive evaluation systems derived from research in the field. Each of the frameworks offer clear language of professional practices at various levels of performance.
“McREL International is a premier organization of research and service continuing to make invaluable contributions to the field of education,” says Dr. Michael Horning, Jr., Executive Vice President of SuperEval. “Their educational leadership evaluation frameworks are based on sound research and are the the latest example of their important work. We are thrilled to make these available within our SuperEval initiative.”
“We’re very pleased to partner with SuperEval to make our educator evaluation frameworks available to more school systems across the country,” said McREL CEO Bryan Goodwin. “Our frameworks focus in on the key drivers of highly effective instructional and systemic leadership and take a growth- and development-oriented approach to evaluation, which matches nicely with SuperEval’s emphasis on professional self-assessment and reflection.”
The McREL International frameworks available in SuperEval include:
- Superintendent of Schools
- Central Office Instructional Staff
Each of the frameworks are designed for reflecting on leadership in the following four components:
- Purposeful Community
- Managing Change
- Focus of Leadership
Each component is followed by elements and descriptors of practices on a leveled rubric.
The McREL International frameworks are available in SuperEval allowing educational leaders to select the aforementioned components and elements for use in a reflective and evidence-based evaluation process.
